The National PRE Breeders Association of Spain offers another edition of “On line Meetings” with the Technical Director of the PRE Breeding Program, Mercedes Valera. This on-line discussing will take place next Thursday, the 3rd of May, through the ANCCE web-site, www.ancce.com, with which all interested and participating parties will be able to put forth their queries and receive immediate answers. In this case, the discussion session will be open between 10:00 am and 11:30 am.
Mercedes Valera is a Professor of the University of Sevilla and responsible for the equine section of the MERAGEM research group, an official genetics center that endorses the PRE Breeding program as well as other equine breeds in Spain.
The idea of this meeting is to respond to any concerns or doubts that breeders may have with regards to the PRE Breeding Program: performance testing, genetic assessments, assessment procedures, the genetic categories and the breeding stock catalogs, among others.
These meetings are another Association initiative to reinforce its commitment to improving communication with breeders, as it seeks to be a platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences about the PRE.
