According to the current legislation, all foals must be registered with the corresponding Stud Book prior to the following dates:
· Foals born between January and June: Before December 31 of the year of their birth.
· Foals born between July and December: Before they are six months.
Those foals failing to meet the registration deadline with the PRE Stud Book may exceptionally be registered at the current price (75 euros/horse), but, as of April 30, the registration fee will increase to 125 euros/horse.
In Spain, all horses registered past the deadline established by the current legislation, but have been registered previously by the corresponding Regional Government and that have a document known as Documento de Identificación Equina de Crianza y Renta (Identification Document of Equines for Breeding and Profit) may request that the PRE Stud Book register said horse, at the same price applicable prior to May 1, 2013.
