New meeting between ANCCE and USPRE.

USPRE and ANCCE to develop joint programs to benefit its breeders

ANCCE and a number of representative from the United States PRE Association—USPRE—met last week in Wellington, Florida, to review the recent audit of the LG office and to discuss a strategy for the future.

After more than six years of good relations between ANCCE and USPRE, and the successful transfer of stud book management to the offices of USPRE to provide services in the United States, both organizations have agreed to launch a number of projects that will benefit breeders in the two countries.  ANCCE President Javier Conde and the USPRE Board of Directors agreed upon an agenda of activities that would open new opportunities for US breeders to increase their participation in the Association.

The United States has the second largest PRE hers in the world.  USPRE breeders and members will have greater ability to make their needs known to Spain, influence the direction of their organization and in the future of the breed, and determine their leadership. Following three days of meetings, USPRE staff and directors traveled to Southern California to conduct the first in a series of Breeders Seminars in Corona that brought out over 150 breeders from the region. The results of the recent meetings and future initiatives will be presented to the USPRE membership at the Annual Meeting in Wellington on February 14.
