ANCCE & ASOCAMAN-PRE Organize a Training Workshop in Ciudad Real on October 27th
“Genomic Selection (GO EQUIGENOM) and Assessment for Conformation and Functionality of PRE Horses at Conformation-functional Competitions.”
ANCCE seeks to promote improvement and training among personnel working in the PRE Horse sector; therefore, it is organizing a workshop in conjunction with the Castilla-La Mancha Purebred Spanish Horse Association (ASOCAMAN-PRE), at the Ciudad Real Veterinarian Association (Plaza de la Provincia, nº 2, 2nd floor). A series of conferences will be offered, in an effort to provide greater knowledge about Genomic Selection and the new Operational Group (GO EQUIGENOM) and the conformation and functional Assessment of PRE Horses at Conformation-Functional Competitions.
Program for both Conferences
• 6:00 -7:00 pm: The application of Genomics in the PRE Breeding Program and its benefits for breeders. GO EQUIGENOM, offered by Arancha Rodríguez Sainz de los Terreros, director of the Purebred Spanish Horse Stud Book.
• 7:00-8:00 pm: Assessment of PRE Horses for conformation and functionality at Conformation-Functional Competitions. Presentation by Juan Carlos Sanchez Noriega, PRE Conformation & Functionality Judge.
This workshop is considered of major interest for breeders, enthusiasts and all those linked to the equine sector. Likewise, it is free of charge. All those attending will be provided with GO EQUIGENOM informative and promotional material.
